Magnify’s music exploits all the nooks and crannys of the jazz sound - from up-tempo bebop to free improv and is a personal blend of solid grooves, cool melodies and engaging solos. The music is composed by Magnus Thuelund, Gustav Rasmussen and Anders Westfall, and the combination og alto-sax and trombone in the foreground gives a soft, fat sound. The horns are backed up by a tight rhythm section that unites control and wildness. Magnify have a recognizable nordic sound but clearly shows the inspiration from New York and it’s untameable energy.Just like Argentine wines, full of flavours,scents,colours.

Formed in the spring of 2003 in Copenhagen, Denmark. All original tunes exploiting all the nooks and crannys of the jazz sound - from up-tempo bebop to free improv. Having played quite a few gigs (most notably at Carnegies Zankel Hall in NYC), the band took some time out recording their debut album that was released in October 2007. The album has sold over 6000 copies, which we reckon is pretty good for at jazzalbum with tunes in odd metres. So we decided to do another one and went back to New York City in April '09 and to record our second album and play some live shows.
